This year, FPE Seals are proud to be supporting St Aidan's Church Of England Academy in Darlington in the Race To The Line STEAM learning challenge.
The Race To The Line model rocket car challenge from The Learning Partnership (TLP) and Dendrite.me is designed to inspire students to become interested and gain confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics "STEAM".
Students in Year 7 (11-12 year olds) at the school participate in the challenge, working in small teams to apply key STEAM learning to a physical "design, engineering and building" exercise, with the winning team moving forward to Regional Finals and if successful, the UK National Final held at The Imperial War Museum, Duxford in early Summer.
The Challenge is part of a wider objective for TLP, which is encouraging students through all primary and secondary education to think positively about pursuing STEAM orientated subject choices and future career pathways.
